Past Event in October of 2007:

Khenmo Trinlay Chödron Karuna

Khenmo arrived and offered a wonderfully received teaching on the understanding of what deity practice and tantric teachings are, why they are so important and how they could be perceived and practiced to obtain the greatest benefit for the practitioner.

Her wonderful charm and wit were a priceless gift. Being a western nun, her unerstanding of approaching the Dharma from a western perspective was priceless. We learned of things she discovered that she had done incorrectly for 'over 15 years' before coming to her understandings and realizations of the teachings. The ability to learn from her these specific techniques and ways to incorporate the practices into everyday life left no one unchanged. The Dharma become more real, more accessible and more precious because of her wonderful gift of knowledge and understand.

Thank you Khenmo! We have invited her back often and look forward to her return.

Demystifying Tantra

What exactly is Tantric practice in relation to other types of Buddhist practices? How do the deity practices in general relate to the broader spectrum of Buddhist teachings. Learn about the structure and techniques of Tantric practice, the elements of iconography and our aspirations for using such practices to progress on our path to enlightenment. Why do our teachers bring these practices to us and how can we most benefit ourselves and others by pursuing them.
