Vajra Publications

Vajra Publications is a non-profit publisher of Dharma teachings that were translated from authentic Tibetan Buddhist lineages that have remained unbroken for centuries. It was created by Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche at the Tibetan Meditation Center in Frederick, Maryland, U.S. At the direction of Khenchen Gyaltshen in the fall of 2000, the publishing and distribution portion of Vajra Publications moved to Gainesville, FL and was placed under the direction of Millard Pate (e-mail: mpate@vajrapub.com) to establish it as an independent business unit. The books, texts and tapes made available are produced with the commitment to preserve and transmit the pure, authentic teachings of the Dharma. The main focus of these teachings in the past has been from the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. At Khenchen Rinpoche's direction, this focus is to be expanded to all authentic lineages of Tibetan Buddhism and other sources of Buddhist teachings. We encourage teachers of all lineages to consider Vajra Publications for their next publishing project, whether paper book, e-book, CD or tape. Online sales and distribution from the web are included as part of the publishing services. We can also create an online store for your website. As part of our preservation efforts, any previously published book that is no longer available for purchase can be converted into e-books and available for download to preserve out of print teachings. No Dharma teaching should ever be lost simply because it is no longer considered a viable commercial product. Commercial profitability should not determine whether or not a Dharma teaching remains easily available to practitioners.Vajra Publications is a recognized 501 c3 non-profit publishing company with the purpose of returning as much of the revenues generated from works to the authors and their designated projects or centers as possible. Authors can also establish specific requirements for distribution to insure that certain teachings are only available to qualified practitioners. It is the mission of Vajra Publications that all purchases support the Dharmic Activities of the teachers and centers whose works they publish.. We would like to express our deep thanks to our growing community of practitioners and all who have supported the continued growth of Vajra Publications.
